  • Description: Pipis (Ntinos Iliopoulos), a poor painter who is always short of cash, is forced to move to a smaller room in a big courtyard, because he cannot afford to pay his landlady Ms. Paraskevi the rent. All the other housemates help him out as best they can because he is fun to be with. Nikos, who is in love with a mysterious woman by the name of Melita, comes to Pipis’ flat. Melita is awaiting her husband’s return from the Eastern Block. In the meantime, everyday life is full of interesting events, each one featuring one of the housemates as its main protagonist. Annoula, the beautiful daughter of organ-grinder Nontas, falls in love with Nikos, and an ambitious dancer named Nitsa manages to convince Pipis to help her with her appearances at a nightclub. After a few comical situations, things turn around on various levels: Tassos, who was in love with Annoula, ends up marrying Nitsa, and Nikos, in Annoula’s arms, forgets all about Melita.
